A decade ago the Jacaranda trees along Del Mar Blvd. bloomed all at once creating a amazing parade of color that stretched for a mile from Arroyo Parkway to Lake Street. In the last couple of years (2015-2017) some of the trees have been blooming earlier, some later.
Trivia: the Jacaranda is a native of Brazil and the city of Pretoria in South Africa is famous for all the Jacaranda trees planted along city streets.
